There are more where that particular Croat comes from, and in the scuffle they are descending upon Dean just as swiftly -- two of them, actually, and once the girl is down he'll get a good view of one of them lunging for him. Sam -- strangely, curiously, against all he thinks Dean would want from him -- appears from the sidelines and grabs the man, sinking his blade into the soft throat there. There is one other and he's rushing him, grabbing him by the hair and ripping the blade through his chest, into his heart. With his dying breath, he bites down on Sam's exposed arm, and Sam doesn't bother trying to evade. The layers prevent any piercing teeth, even if he were able to get infected.

He rushes to Dean.

Not sure why, but he does, and his hands shake when he grabs Dean's shirt, eyes wide and full of fear. "You fucking idiot, why -- Get this off, I've got water to wash it off -- we're gonna switch clothes. Get them off."

He's terrified.
