FLEETJOURNAL.TXT

No thank you, I'll stay in-town.

My first arrival was Arslae, as the navigation systems so helpfully pointed out. Beautiful landscapes and apparently an important point of trade, but the climate is cold and difficult to maneuver. Roughly earth-sized, icy, lacking in a lot of typical plant life. Lots of fuzzy creatures and glacier-like structures. Natives hunt with more traditional tools, so there's not much in the way of advanced weaponry. Snow falls every few days. Most of my time here was honestly staying near a fire; not a fan of snow. Arslae requires fuzzy hoods and boots for sure. Nothing huge happened here with regards to the Atroma or fleet.

Pictured: salt mines and shoe eaters.

NOTES:

• Buildings made of ice??? Some built into the ice cliffs, interesting carvings.
• Races: Surrit (hybrids of older species), human settlers est'd later on. Some look pretty human minus a few oddities, some have fur, bat-like faces. Surritt are pretty resistant to the cold. Migrant populations exist, too, like Nunnilis (blue skin).
• Salt is planet's main resource. A-thank-you.
• Amazing temples; Temples of Abeo, Accendo, and Adsum.
• Surprisingly advanced tech for food and medical.

A few weeks after Arslae, uneventful up until we reached the FS Starlight, a massive space station

I've heard of these 'Calibrations' that happened before I arrived off-hand. Memory-sharing... not my cup of tea. Glad I missed that boat. Also, we're getting way over capacity for the ships in the fleet; a lot of people have resorted to sleeping on couches. Really. No word from our glorious leaders on this matter; a few weeks after Arslae, and the 'Atroma' are still radio silent. Diamond and Beau are our hosts, but I haven't personally interacted with them.

UPDATE: For some reason and against our will (shocking), we've been told we're delivering cargo for the Atroma (nothing on the over-capacity ships of course).

DIAMOND AUDIO TRANSCRIBED: "Thank you all for agreeing to deliver this important cargo to our associates on the HS Maldua. Once all packages are deposited, unopened and unharmed, the contract will be considered complete and you will receive your payment!"

But why.

Ships all had crates full of bubblegum on them. Yeah. Bubblegum. Lab support and engineering worked on scanning to avoid triggering any defense mechanisms, and that was what we were met with. I personally received the fine print for the damn thing, talking about monetary compensation for our efforts. We also received a map of the HS Maldua, where we were expected to drop off these heavily guarded gumballs. Guess we should figure out what the hell are up with these. The FS Starlight is bright, dazzling, and overall a lot like you'd imagine Vegas in space would feel like. It's also a 'Forum Station' where people can safely exchange political agendas and general goods. It's twenty-four towers held by a large ring; whoever built this place, pat themselves on the back. Pretty crowded, lot of humanoids passing through. The traffic here is heavy and gives LA a run for its money for sure.

NOTES:

• Lots of work opportunities: revolving door of employees, week-to-week contracts, etc. Cargo shuttling to taxi driving to bar-tending, you name it.
• How many clubs does a place need?
• Dark underbelly, careful where you go; kidnapping, black market, the works.

UPDATE: We were marked as carrying unauthorized cargo and they froze our accounts. #$%^. What's with these gumballs?

UPDATE 2: A ship has popped up into the fleet called the Blameless. Maybe because we barely have any room on this damn fleet lately.

Either way, that's a good name I guess, because all my blame goes solely to the Atroma.
