It's not much of a secret, but I have a bad history with possession, angels included.
[He hesitates. Talking about himself? That's just crazy.]
I was dying in a coma. My brother knew I would rather die than have another angel inside me, so he allowed an angel to pretend to be him and enter my mind. Apparently, he could heal me as long as he used me as a vessel. I thought it was my brother, so I said yes to letting him help me.
After this angel possessed me, he and Dean decided to keep my memory erased, so I wouldn't know he was there.
Wish I wasn't. I guess it went on this way for a few weeks, or a few months.
Something happened, around the time Dean's from.
[There's a pause, and he has to stop himself from getting worked up at the very thought.]
The angel lied about who he was. He possessed me completely and killed my friend. And then he left with my body. Nobody knows what happened or where he went after that.
[Rei honestly doesn't really know how to answer that.
On one hand, she's furious. Dean is an idiot. Idiot. She's not from their universe, but she's met enough angels to know that trusting them is a stupid idea.
But on the other hand, she can get it. She has someone she loves that much, someone she would refuse to let go. She's died for them, resurrected for them, all of the above. And if she had the opportunity to stop Usagi from dying, she would do it, no matter what it took.
No wonder everything was messed up.]
I'm guessing the angel who did all of this is here, because everyone is acting like Lucifer turned up in this house.
[Now if you'll excuse him, all the mild humor and happiness he'd had about 5 minutes ago has been sucked right out of him, and everything looks really bleak and sad, so he's gonna just lay down and pretend he's sleeping.]
Given my track record of always being right and given Adstring's record of always being weird, it's going to happen.
I don't really remember a lot of what I've been through since I've come back, but I'm going to place my bets on "I've been through worse than a dragon".
You're creating a listing of all the monsters in Adstringendum, right? If I go to the Wastelands for you and record what dragons I can find, you can research whether or not they've already been spotted within the city or if it's something new. I want to see if what I see in my visions is already here.
And I also want you to stop wasting time worrying about Gadreel or whatever else is going on -- he's so outnumbered in this city that if he so much as breathes, he's probably going to get lit on fire. I can't tell you to stop thinking about your future -- but you don't need to worry about him killing anyone. He's not going to hurt anyone in this city.
Ask Castiel what I did to Lucifer. He can't be any worse, right?
How about you save the speeches, stop telling me what I need to worry about when I don't tell you what you should worry about, and let me help you find these dragons?
Think that's a pretty fair deal, if you're going to take it.
Presidents need Secret Service, kings and queens need knights, but princesses need handmaidens. I'm like that, but with a bow. I shoot first and ask questions later.
You don't wonder why Castiel does whatever I tell him? He's afraid of me.

You wanted to know. There you go.

I had a vision of a massive dragon destroying parts of the city and a bunch of people dressed in weird outfits trying to kill it.
That's
pretty much it.
[Text]
Oh.
Goody. I guess.

It sounds like you have been too.
Cheer up and pick up a sword.
[Text]
[He's not strong enough to do anything with a sword, so.]
[Text]
Stop whining.
:)
[Text]
I can do things, just not with a sword.
[Duh, Rei. Also:]
:)

That dead mouse will wind up in your food bowl if you keep it up.
Prove it, hunter-turned-librarian.
I don't have patience for people taking up space.
:)
[Text]
[Gosh you can practically hear him sitting up and patting off his jeans with that.]
Alright, fireball. What do you want me to do?
[Just don't do anything horrible like ask him to run a lap or something.
It'll be really sad watching him collapse okay.]

As long as you're not just lying around hacking up a lung all day, I don't really care what you do.
But deal.

And you're the hero of the story.
[Text]
You're getting smarter by the day.
[Text]
[Text]
But fine.
The person I protect is the real hero.
I'm just the guard.
[Text]
Then aren't you the hero's hero?

[lol pls but]
[Text]
Those're all heroes in their own right, aren't they?
As long as they're not corrupted, anyway.
